When I wanted to lose weight I turned to Sue as I needed to get into the right frame of mind. Just by chatting to her on the phone I felt that I could achieve my goal as she became my conscience on my shoulder. Sue asked me to keep a food diary which I did and help me realise just what I’d been eating before and by recording it I was careful about what I was now eating!
I decided I did not want to be governed by my scales as I knew I would feel deflated if after a week the scales only showed a couple of pounds weight loss and chose to measure my weight loss by noticing the feel of my clothes. They would be a better judge of my progress as, after all, it was the clothes I wanted to feel good in. Imagine my delight after two weeks of Sue’s help I put on a shirt, still with the t-shirt underneath, but this time I could button it up without it being pulled out of shape. Thanks Sue, I am on my way to a new me or one I knew sometime ago.

When you are working with Sue, it’s immediately obvious that Sue’s primary focus is helping her clients succeed and getting results! And my personal experience is that she enabled me to do just that.
When we started working together on improving my golfing mind, Sue first really listened to understand my goals, worries and barriers that were getting in the way of me achieving my goals. She then helped me clarify my goals and used her experience and skills to enable and empower me to make the necessary changes. Even after only working with her for only a short time, I have seen immediate results – and I am confident that as I continue under her guidance that I will be able to achieve or even surpass my goals. Thank you, Sue!

Sue's gentle nature immediately put me at ease. Working together, we identified important aspects of my life and how they could be changed. Sue knew the right questions to ask which promoted growth and development. She helped me focus, to set my own goals and to set actions to achieve them. Sue's life coaching has empowered me to focus and with positive intention make changes in my life.

Meeting Sue Bown at that specific moment in my life was one of those pre-destined events – it was just meant to be! Sue is immediately easy to speak to, challenging and thought provoking; week-by-week she encouraged me toward my goal. A new and very different future is now within my grasp.

After our first session, I realised that not only would Sue be someone I would be able to work with, but that I may be able to achieve what I felt I needed to feel happy in my life. With each session, I was asked to undertake tasks that would take me closer to achieving my goal. Each session meant I really had to think about what I wanted to do and to take action, not just talk about it. Working with Sue was fun – she challenged my thinking when I needed it and made suggestions, never telling me what I should do, but leading me in the right direction by asking the right questions and making me search for the answers that were right for me. By the end of our sessions, I knew I had worked with the right person for me, and I am well on my way to achieving my goals. Thank you Sue, for all of your support and encouragement throughout our sessions.

Sue's work with me was so beneficial because of her ability to get me to keep things simple, one step at a time. I would sometimes feel befogged/unclear for whatever reason, and Sue's gentle yet insistent guidance helped me to break down "problems" (which my lack of clarity I had blown out of proportion) into bite-size tasks to focus upon, and over reasonable timescales, which inspired me and which I could relate to, and then rise to, because they felt interesting enough, real enough, relevant enough, and therefore "do-able". Now, I am getting closer every day to my long-term goals, and I no longer feel that confidence is an unattainable "X-factor".
